Ottawa, ON - November 4 , 2007
The 40th Anniversary of Development and Peace will be celebrated with a Mass on Sunday, November 4th, followed by a meal featuring some of the different national cuisines of our partners in the Global South. The guest speaker is Mr. Fabien Leboeuf. Please note the dates and times in your calendars and reserve your place: St-Joseph's Parish, 2757 Blvd St-Joseph, Orleans, ON. Mass is at 11.00 am and the event continues until 4.00 pm. Please confirm your attendance.

Alexandria-Cornwall, ON - November 3, 2007
 To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Development and Peace, Cornwall-Alexandria members are holding a benefit concert, featuring Jacob Moon, on Saturday, November 3rd, 2007 at 7:30 p.m at the Marguerite-Bourgeoys Centre, 800 Twelfth St East, Cornwall, ON.

Gatineau , QC - October 28, 2007
Some 100 members of the Archdiocese of Gatineau celebrated 40 years of joy, hard work and good memories at the Church of Ste Maria-Goretti, Gatineau, Quebec on Sunday, October 28 from 1.00 pm to 8.00 pm.

The Toronto Archdiocesan Council invites you to celebrate with us - Several events are being held, including a Colloquium, a Workshop and a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Archbishop Collins.

Thunder Bay ON - October 20, 2007
The Thunder Bay Diocesan Council feted the 40th anniversary on October 20th, the official date of founding of Development and Peace. Bishop Colli celebrated the Anniversary mass at the Thunder Bay cathedral, which was followed by a Soup 'n Bun dinner. Development and Peace members and friends made the home made soup and baked the bread for the dinner. |

| Sudbury ON - September 29, 2007 |
| The Diocese of Sault Ste-Marie in Sudbury, held its 40th anniversary celebration on Sept. 29th, 2007 Bishop Jean-Louis Plouffe celebrated a mass of thanksgiving followed by a dinner attended by 180 people. The guest speaker was Michael Casey, Executive Director of Development and Peace, who spoke about Populorum Progressio and the work of Development and Peace. In addition, Bishop Jean-Louis Plouffe was presented with a certificate of recognition by National Council of Development and Peace. The event was organized jointly by francophone and anglophone diocesan councils. |

| During their AGM and Fall Action Workshop held at St. Mary’s Church, Ladysmith, the Victoria Diocesan Council participated in a 40th Anniversary Mass celebrated by Bishop Richard and 3 other priests. There was a dinner afterwards attended by about 200 people in the Parish Hall. |
