INADES Formation, a Burundi non-governmental organization that supports peasant associations, with a membership of over 100,000:

• Assisted 61 coffee producers unions to take on the status of local cooperatives. |

• Created influential national level committees bringing together coffee producers, technical service representatives and administrative authorities throughout the country. |

Women in rural areas have more resources |

The Development Exchange Center, an organization that aims to increase the economic capacity and living conditions of women in Nigeria: |

• Established a nation-wide microcredit system that allowed women to increase their family income. |
 |

• Built five wells in Bauchi state, providing accessible, clean and safe drinking water. |

Public officials and mining companies are held accountable |
|
The Network Movement for Justice and Development, a movement working to promote justice and empowerment in Sierra Leone: |

• Contributed to the replacement of two corrupt officials in the Bombali and Tonkolili districts who were embezzling large amounts of public funds. |
 |
|
• Forced the Sierra Leone Mining Company to conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment before commencing operations in the Kono district.
