            <title>International Development Consultant - Haiti </title>
            <description>Reporting to the Assistant Director of the International Programs Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a Development and Peace office in Port-au-Prince, for supporting the organization’s partners in the field, for contributing to the development and implementation of Development and Peace’s emergency/reconstruction program in Haiti, and for liaising with various emergency relief / reconstruction coordination and funding mechanisms.  He or she will work out of Port-au-Prince for the duration of his or her mandate. </description>

The deputy director is more specifically responsible for animation services across Canada and for strategies to support and develop the network of members. She/he is responsible for managing the animateurs and the Toronto Office staff. &lt;br /&gt;

The programs of the Education Department are intended to raise Canadians’ awareness of international solidarity through education and action campaigns for global justice. These programs also include an important element of fundraising (half of the budget of the organization) throughout Canada during the annual Share Lent Campaign.</description>
