Share Lent is the annual fundraising campaign of the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace.
Share Lent helps partner communities in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
From February 22nd to April 7th, you can help organize Share Lent activities in your parish, school or community (see Materials section for useful tips and documents). You can live Share Lent with your family by following the Solidarity Calendar. You can also follow us by visiting our social media pages like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or Flickr.
You can also participate in our GIVE IT UP campaign, by starting your own fundraising page and encourage your friends and family members to help you accomplish your goal by making a donation on your page!
As people of faith and conviction, we are asked to live our values of justice and solidarity through prayer, action and almsgiving.
Compassion goes hand in hand with solidarity : it means to suffer with. Jesus felt compassion when faced with human suffering. We are called to feel that same depth of compassion when faced with the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.
