Next Sunday, April 6th, is Solidarity Sunday! It is the day when Catholics across the country are invited to give during a special Share Lent collection in their parish for the work of Development and Peace. This gift helps communities in the Global South put in place projects that respect and uplift human dignity. Most Rev. Paul-André Durocher, president of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops and Archbishop of Gatineau invites us all to be in solidarity on this day in a special video message where he explains the mission of Development and Peace and our participation in the global campaign to end hunger One Human family, Food for All, that was launched by Pope Francis in December.
Share Lent is Development and Peace's annual fundraising campaign.
As the Canadian member of Caritas Internationalis, Development and Peace is participating in its global anti-hunger campaign, One Human Family, Food for All, which seeks to bring an end to world hunger. We have made it the central theme of our 2014 Share Lent campaign.
Through your generous donations to Development and Peace, you are helping to build a more just world.
