THINKfast Good Friday Fast

First, take a rich tradition like the Catholic one of fasting on Good Friday.

Add 241 people and 67 groups across Canada who want to share their hope for a better world with their family and friends and are willing to go without food to do so.

Mix them together and you have the Development and Peace Good Friday Fast - an online effort to cook up support for our mission of building a better world. The fast happens this Friday, March 29th!

Congratulations to three of our members: Carmen Lanoue, Raymonde Dubois and Fernand Létourneau!

Mrs. Alfreda Bérubé

Last December, Mrs. Alfreda Bérubé, an active member of Development and Peace and a longstanding member of the Edmundston Diocesan Council, was awarded a Prime Minister's Volunteer Award for her commitment to volunteering in her community. She also founded the Centre l'Éclosion (literally, the "hatching" centre — as in hatching a plan or an idea), an organization that for more than 20 years has worked towards the social inclusion of individuals with disabilities.
