Canadian Government will match donations for Horn of Africa

The Canadian Government announced on Friday, July 22nd, that it will match dollar for dollar donations made between July 6th and September 16th for the humanitarian crisis in the Horn of Africa. Development and Peace is eligible to have contributions made by its donors matched through this program.

The Canadian Government will place the matched funds in its East Africa Drought Relief Fund. Money from this fund will then be distributed by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) based on proposals submitted by humanitarian organizations for relief projects in the region.
