Laudato Si’

Encyclical Letter of the Holy Father on Care for Our Common Home

Pope Francis’ encyclical, “Laudato Si’,” or “Praise Be to You” is an urgent call to tackle the current ecological crisis by making a paradigm shift that will allow all human beings to live sustainably in dignity.

Read the encyclical

To mark the 5th anniversary of the publication of Laudato Si’, the Interdicasterial working group of the Holy See on integral ecology has published «Journeying towards Care for our Common Home – 5 years after Laudato Si’» to guide us on the path to the implementation of the teachings of the encyclical.

I urgently appeal, then, for a new dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet. We need a conversation which includes everyone, since the environmental challenge we are undergoing, and its human roots, concern and affects us all.
