Young people

Let’s build that better world!

Dear young people, please, do not be bystanders in life. Get involved! […] Don’t stand aloof, but immerse yourselves in the reality of life, as Jesus did. Above all, in one way or another, fight for the common good, serve the poor, be protagonists of the revolution of charity and service….

Passionate about social justice? Wondering what causes of global poverty? Looking to develop your leadership skills? Think a more just world is possible? Want to help build it?

Development and Peace ― Caritas Canada is just your kind of movement!

Young people can be involved in our movement and stand in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in the Global South in several ways including walking in climate marches, travelling to meet our partners on solidarity tours, becoming members, representing the youth voice at national and international conferences and even helping chart our course by serving on our governing council.

We also have a multitude of resources for campuses, schools and parishes in our activities database. Also check out our D&P Schools Program.

Our membership of national and international networks like KAIROS Canada, CIDSE and Caritas Internationalis makes your canvas limitless!

To get involved at a local, regional or national level, contact your local animator or reach out to youth programs officer Selina Hunt at youth@devp.org.
